Steven Stepanishen

Mr. Stepanishen practices in the areas of preparation and prosecution of patent applications. Mr. Stepanishen has been involved in various engineering and legal disciplines. As an engineer, Mr. Stepanishen has worked for major defense contractors in the fields of microwave and radar engineering for sophisticated state of the art fighter jets as well as in the field of optical encoders for space and military applications. As an attorney, Mr. Stepanishen has practiced in the fields of both criminal and civil law.

Education

Mr. Stepanishen received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1985. His undergraduate studies concentrated on microwaves engineering, control systems and mathematics.

Mr. Stepanishen received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of West Los Angeles in 1993. He graduated Cum Laude and was selected Valedictorian for the Class of 1993. During his law studies, Mr. Stepanishen was placed on the Dean’s Honors List in 1989, 1990, 1994 and 1995 and won several scholastic honors such as the West Publishing Company Award for Outstanding Scholastic Achievement for the Highest Grade Point Average for the 1991-1992 third year class and for the 1992-1993 fourth year class. Mr. Stepanishen was also awarded the American Jurisprudence Award for Criminal Law and Civil law.
