Matthew Bring

Mr. Bring practices primarily in the area of preparation and prosecution of patent applications. He has a background in computer science, with particular experience in the areas of Internet programming and e-commerce development. As an attorney, he has performed extensive research in the areas of intellectual property, criminal law, and federal discrimination law.

Legal Background

Mr. Bring received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of North Dakota School of Law in Grand Forks, ND. During law school, he was on the Dean's List each semester and received the Best Brief Award in the Fall 2003 Moot Court Competition. During law school, he was a Student Attorney in the UND Law Clinic, and was named Student Director of the Law Clinic during his final year of school. Additionally, he attended the Intellectual Property Summer Institute at the Franklin Pierce Law Center in Concord, NH in 2004.

Mr. Bring is admitted to practice in the state of Minnesota. He has approximately two years of experience as a law clerk in the District Court of Minnesota.

Technical Background

Mr. Bring received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of North Dakota in 2000. While attending school, he worked with the UND Space Studies Department as a programmer/webmaster for three years, helping to facilitate one of the country's first accredited online graduate degree programs. Following his graduation, he spent two years working as an independent website and information technology consultant. As a consultant, he assisted numerous businesses in developing Internet and e-commerce solutions, including the design of shopping cart systems.
